NSCDC Boss has pledged renewed offensives against pipeline vandalism.

The commandant-general of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps(NSCDC),mr Abdullahi Gana has pledged to develop a robust security against pipeline vandalism in the country.

Gana,who decried the recent spate of vandalism in the country,said that corps would work together with other securities especially Navy and Joint Task Force(JTF) in the country to tackle pipeline vandalism.

He disclosed that ''as part of our core mandate,we renewed our operational strategy so as to deal with menace of  pipeline vandalism in the country.''

He said that,the NSCDC will step up the training of it's personnel and provision of live insurance cover especially for officers involved in the protection of the country's critical infrastructure.


He expressed  optimism that the issue of oil theft and pipeline vandalism will soon be over,with the necessary help from the Federal Government.


Gana urged Nigerians to  remain vigilant and report any suspicious movement around the country's critical infrastructure to the nearest security agency.
