NDA accuses Nigerian Army of killing innoncent women and children in Lagos and Ogun State.

Niger Delta Avengers (NDA) yesterday said the group was not scared by government’s warplanes and accused the military of killing innocent women and children in Lagos and Ogun States.
The group, in a statement by its spokesman, Brig. Gen. Mudoch Agbinibo ridiculed the military, which it said showed video of how soldiers carried out the bombardment, but failed to show a single militant killed by its ‘fourth-generation’ warplanes.

“They cannot intimidate the NDA with those inferior jet bombers. They can continue to deploy fourth generation jet-bombers, these cannot stop us from fighting for our people,” They said.
“We challenge the military to share with the public the militants killed in the so-called air strike. We are very sure they won’t share the images of militants killed, because none was killed except innocent women and children,” the statement said.
Meanwhile, the Federal Government has commenced further investigation into the diversion of 9,000 kilogrammes of high explosives and more than 16,000 pieces of detonators in the Niger Delta, following the arrest of seven (7) suspected culprits.
Government has also threatened that the licences of the only two manufacturers of fertiliser may be withdrawn, following revelation that the two companies are sabotaging supply for local consumption.
National Security Adviser (NSA) Major General Mohammed Monguno (rtd), who revealed this during a chat with fertiliser manufacturers, added that his office had conducted discreet investigations into the bombing of pipelines in the Niger Delta and discovered that commercial explosives and accessories were used for these attacks.
Monguno said an audit of the records of explosives magazines and quarries in that region was conducted and it revealed the diversion of about 9000kg of high explosives and 16,420 pieces of detonators for illegal use.
“The actors, a store man of a major explosives distribution company in Nigeria, an accomplice and five security operatives have been arrested and handed over to the authorities,” he revealed.
In a related development, Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, has ordered the immediate seal off of Messrs Nigerian Development and Construction Company (NDCC), an importer and seller of explosives in Koko, Delta State, over alleged diversion of explosives.
Government has also blacklisted the company, and its licence withdrawn. Investigations by the NSA’s office had revealed that the company was involved in diversion of about 9,000 kg of nitroglycerine explosives.
The NSA restated that the decision of government to regulate fertilizer imports was to check production of Improvised Explosives Devices (IEDs) used by terrorists.
Representatives of the two companies, one Appollo Goma of Notore Petrochemicals and Rishi Raj Magariya, among three others that came, refused to speak to journalists when they were ushered out of the NSA conference room.
