This is a portion of Apapa bridge which connects Apapa Central  Business District (CBD) to Lagos Island and Lagos Ibadan expressway via Ikorodu road.

Apart from the caved in portion,some of the pillars holding the bridge have suffered structural defects due to the fire incidents that have worn off the concrete parts and exposed the iron rods.

It was gathered from residents and motorists in the area that due to the terrible state of the bridge,it often causes heavy traffic gridlock and traffic crimes.
